Edward Pennie
is an enthusiastic photographer from Colchester, now living and
working in London. E A Photography was born of a lifelong passion
for photography and creativity. Having held a camera from a young
age, Edward has always been a keen photographer, photographing
friends, events, wildlife and sights. He took the step into Wedding
Photography and has successfully completed over five weddings,
providing a memento of the day for the happy couples and their
families.
Living in the Capital,
surrounded by ancient and modern architecture, it’s all too easy not
to notice the little things. Edward has a keen eye for the unusual
and this is something he brings out in his Wedding Photography as
well as in his first Exhibition - Unseen London.
“Unseen London” is a
collection of Edwards work from the last three years which draws
upon his ability to look at scenes from a different angle and to
challenge the viewer into thinking about the photograph. A mix of
architectural and candid photography makes for a unique take on the
City, showing moments in time, abstract patterns and scenes which
the everyday Londoner passes by.
Exhibiting for the first time
at the Les Livres Gallery in Colchester Library, Edward is hoping to
engage pupils from local Schools and Colleges with interests in
architecture and photography, as well as local businesses who are
interested in alternative prints of the Capital.
With historic links between
Colchester and London, it seemed a perfect opportunity to show
London in a different light and encourage people to take a second
look when walking around the City.
The exhibition opens on
Saturday 11 September 2010 and runs until Friday 8
October 2010. Prints will be available to buy during this period
as will a selection of Postcards.
